There were 15 cars from Saguaro and Old Pueblo Miata clubs. Ed was reunited with his old 1990 again and got to drive it about 20 miles; this time it had a turbo!

It was a beautiful April afternoon. The club took a top down cruise out to the Tortilla Flats. We twisted up the mountain to Canyon Lake. The marina had a great view of the lake and everyone enjoyed the food. After lunch we scooted up the road a bit to Tortilla flats for some ice cream and fun. Thanks to everyone who came.

What happens when you mix beautiful weather, driving a Miata, and vintage air craft with good friends? That’s easy, you have wonderful time. Club members and guests enjoyed a high-speed sprint down to Tucson and experienced the ever-changing Pima Air and Space Museum and its many wonders. The past was never more beautiful as dozens of vintage planes displayed their heritage, history, and sleek curves for all the Sahuaro Miata club members who made the journey to appreciate them (see Read More).

The run got off to a good start with an honest, tasty buffet breakfast at ‘JJ North's Country Buffet’ in Scottsdale, but then slowed to a crawl as we maneuvered our Miatas past the entrance for the Renaissance Festival on our way to our final destination, the Boyce Thompson Arboretum. Once there, along with the thousands of species of vegetation, we also found the arboretum’s parking lot expansion project in full bloom. This meant that… we had to park our shining beauties in the dirt (see Read More). No big deal, besides, walking along the many colorful trails of the Boyce Thompson Arboretum was a wonderful way to spend a beautiful Saturday afternoon with friends in the great outdoors.
