We started with 5 Cars headed down to Tucson for a fun Saturday drive.  We picked 2 cars up along the way!  We had an excellent brunch and the Cracker Barrel Restaurant.  Some of Old Pueblo Miata Club members met us at the Cracker Barrel to say Hi.  After brunch we twisted our way through the the Saguaro National Monument.  The sun came up and the tops came down as we explored the beautiful desert.  A few cars adventured to the desert museum afterwards.  A fun day was had by all.

It was a beautiful January afternoon.  25 cars gathered to take a late afternoon cruise to Tortilla Flats.  The drive to Tortilla Flats is a twisty mountain road perfect for Miatas.  Everyone stopped and had a nice lunch at the Canyon Lake Marina.  After lunch a few went to the little Tortilla Flat town to sample some prickly pear ice cream and live music.  Others just enjoyed the drive back to the city.  It was a fun way to start the year.

This year’s Holiday Party was held in the West Valley at the Anacapa Grille at Corte Bella Country Club.  As we entered, the view of the sunset above the 18th hole was spectacular.  Once inside, we all settled in and enjoyed a gourmet dinner, buffet style. Toys that club members donated to the W. Steven Martin toy drive filled a large table and shared space with festive raffle prizes and a beautiful auction item.  The item being a one-of-a-kind, handmade Sahuaro Miata Club car blanket/quilt made entirely of Miata-inspired colors, made for some fun bidding.
