The group was early to meet at the starting point on this beautiful, crisp, Saturday morning. Most tops stayed up as we headed south on I-17 to Tucson and our first stop, The Cracker Barrel Restaurant. The restaurant is always busy, but they never failed to get us in and out in a reasonable amount of time, and Oh, those pancakes! As we left Tucson on our last leg to Kartchner Caverns, most tops were down under a perfectly blue, cloudless sky.
In Kartchner Caverns it’s a constant 72 degrees and naturally humid; just perfect for clearing out your sinuses. The beauty within the cave is surreal, like a scene out of a high-tech movie. The tour guides are friendly and knowledgeable, and everyone in the club seemed to agree that this had been a special run indeed.
