This year, the Spring Quarterly Board Meeting/Picnic was held at Folley Park in Chandler, Arizona. Under a king-sized pavilion, the club provided the American cookout favorites like burgers, hot dogs, potato salad and drinks while members were asked to bring their favorite single, serving-sized desserts. Nobody held back because it was a beautiful, sunny day to gather together with friends to enjoy good food and companionship. After lunch, Ed conducted the Spring Quarterly meeting and had the board members who were present give out the monetary and membership statistics, which happened to be pretty good as well.
The meeting underlined the fact that June’s Elections meeting in Wickenburg will be a crucial one, as there many key elected and non-elected board positions opening up that will need to be filled. Come this June, all members were encouraged to run for positions.
After raffling several gift cards and wear apparel (out of merchandise), the day ended with an impromptu car-show hosted by club members, Debbie and Rook. Miatas were lined up for club members to vote on which Miatas were most in need of new tires or a good wax job, just to name a few of the categories. All in all, it was a great day to be a participating, Sahuaro Miata Club member.

Great to see so many Miataphiles showed up for the meeting and picnic. This is truly one of the premier events for socializing in our yearly list of runs. My personal thanks to all the board officers who organized this meeting and especially Ed and Ginger for all their hard work! Also a big thank you to Rook and Debbie for the great car show!
